Treaty Oak Revival

Treaty Oak Revival expand the earthy sound of Red Dirt country by pairing it with a hefty dose of post-grunge crunch, a combination that earned the quintet a sizeable following in their native Texas in the 2020s. With the 2023 release of Have a Nice Day, Treaty Oak Revival broadened their purview beyond the Lone Star State, a transition aided by opening gigs for Koe Wetzel and Zach Bryan. The roots of Treaty Oak Revival lie in Free Spirit, a cover band based in Odessa, Texas that featured guitarist Lance Vanley, lead guitarist Jeremiah Vanley, bassist Andrew Carey, and drummer Cody Holloway. Vocalist/guitarist Sam Canty started sitting in on jam sessions, starting Free Spirit's evolution into Treaty Oak Revival in 2019. Shortly afterward, they gave their first concert at Odessa's Ector Theater. Treaty Oak Revival swiftly released a pair of singles in 2020: "Ode to Bourbon (Live)" and "No Vacancy," which was recorded in a studio. A full-length album called No Vacancy, largely written by Canty, arrived in 2021, with the single "Leaving Hell" arriving on its tail. The group spent 2022 gigging but taking the time to release the "Stay Tuned" single. After releasing "Throw Away" with Sterling Elza early in 2023, the group headed into the studio with producer Taylor Kimball. Released in November 2023, the resulting Have a Nice Day found Canty and Lance Vanley's strengthening their songwriting collaboration.
