Vishal Chandrasekhar
Born on November 8, 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Vishal Chandrasekhar is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, lyricist, and songwriter who has worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi language movies and web series, often scoring music for Tamil films. He made his foray into composing with Brindha Das's Hi Da in 2012, and the following year worked on the 2013 well-received Indian war film, Inam, filmed and produced by Santosh Sivan. He picked up another composing gig in 2014, for Indian Tamil-language science fiction film Appuchi Graamam, directed by Vi Anand. However, he garnered substantial acclaim for his composing contribution to Siddharth's Indian Tamil-language black comedy film Jil Jung Juk (2015), recording songs featuring music composers Anirudh Ravichander, Santhosh Narayanan, and Sean Roldan. He has gone on to generate an impressive film repertoire as a soundtrack composer, including 2016's Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy thriller Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha, 2019's Indian Tamil-language action thriller film Kaalidas, and 2021 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film Varudu Kaavalenu. In 2016, he took the plunge into independent music videos, including 2017's "Rhythm of life," which was directed by Sam Paul P, with lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan, and vocals from Yazin Nizar and Kavya Ajith. In 2020, he worked on the Tamil-language romantic comedy web series, Triples.
