Ulf Leo Sommer

The German music producer and composer Ulf Leo Sommer was born in Jena on August 26, 1970. Together with AnNa R, he founded the duo Rosenstolz in 1990, but remained in the background as a lyricist and composer. Until the band took an indefinite break in 2012, they released twelve studio albums, including five German number 1 albums, which received numerous gold and platinum awards. However, Ulf Leo Sommer does not only work as a composer, lyricist and producer for Rosenstolz. in 2007 he was involved in the single "36 Grad" by 2raumwohnung, and in 2009 he composed Melanie C's version of "Liebe ist Alles, Let There Be Love" with Peter Plate. On April 5, 2013, his first solo album Schüchtern ist mein Glück (Shy is my happiness) is released in another collaboration with Plate, before Ulf Leo Sommer provides the music for the children's film Bibi and Tina in 2014. His compositions and productions of hits for Rosenstolz, No Angels ("Daylight in Your Eyes", 2001), Sarah Connor ("Vincent", 2019) and Helene Fischer ("Unser Tag", 2013) also make him one of the most successful German songwriters and producers today.
