Camp Claude

It was in 2013, on the occasion of a video project on which the three of them were collaborating, that Briton Mike Giffts (machines) and Swede Leo Hellden (guitar) invited French-American Diane Sagnier (guitar, vocals) to join them in the studio, where they gave shape to the tracks that would define Camp Claude's sound, at the crossroads of rock, pop and electro. Noticed by the Inrocks Lab musical discoveries competition, the young trio set to work to release their first EP, Hurricanes, in the summer of 2014, which they immediately set off to defend on stage, from opening for bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Portugal. the Man and Aaron, to the Rock en Seine festival. Camp Claude released their debut opus, Swimming Lessons, in 2016, with the overriding aim of nurturing a certain sense of escapism in their music, drawing inspiration from the 1980s and 1990s.
