Call of the Void
A hard-hitting, sludge-punk, crust- and grind-minded metalcore unit from Denver, Colorado, Call of the Void's blistering sonic attack falls somewhere amidst the scorched earth between Pig Destroyer, Converge, Napalm Death, and Mastodon. Founded in 2011 by vocalist Steve Vanica, bass player Alex Pace, guitarists Gabe Morales and Patrick Alberts, and drummer Gordon Koch, the band honed its chops regionally before inking a deal with Relapse Records and hitting the road in support of their debut studio long-player, Dragged Down a Dead End Path, in 2013. Recorded and mixed by Andy Patterson (Subrosa, Eagle Twin, Gaza), the group's sophomore outing, Ageless, followed in early 2015.
