2Boyz
Chris, born on October 10, 1998 in Yopougon, and Marcel, born on September 3, 1994 in Grand-Bereby, both obtained their baccalaureate diplomas, and decided to pursue their shared passion for music by forming the group 2BOYZ. After starting out on social networks, where the public discovered them through covers of Ivorian classics, they began performing live in Abidjan's piano bars. The two Ivorians became increasingly close, forming a bond with singer Josey, considered the duo's godmother. After taking part in The Voice Afrique in 2017, the group gained in maturity and recognition, and in 2018 presented their first unreleased composition, "Titina". 2BOYZ quickly became a sensation, with its blend of Afro pop and coupé-décalé, and signed a number of popular hits such as "Vous méritez" (2019), "La vérité" (2020) and "Chauffer " (2021), taking them on a European tour in 2021. Used to the media, to promote their successes or create controversy through a style deemed provocative, they fueled public opinion from 2022 onwards about a possible break-up of the group, confirmed by Marcel in early 2023.
