Sophie Alour
A self-taught saxophonist, Sophie Alour has become one of the most sought-after jazz soloists since her debut with the Vintage Orchestra in 2000. Joining the bands of Stéphane Belmondo, Rhoda Scott and Wynton Marsalis, she went on to record the albums Insulaire in 2005 and Uncaged in 2007. The musician with no blinkers and no limits returns in 2010 with Opus 3. After La Géographie des Rêves (2012), her fifth collection Shaker (2014) varies jazz, funk and rock styles in trio or quartet.
