Amine Bouhafa

Tunisian Amine Bouhafa is a precocious film music prodigy. He learned to play the piano from the age of three and composed his first film score at the age of fifteen, after graduating from the Tunisian National Conservatory at twelve. Amine Bouhafa works with directors such as the Tunisian Mohammed Zran and the Egyptian Adel Adib. In 2014, he took part in the Egyptian program The First Lady , which broke audience records in Arab countries. Amine Bouhafa is above all in charge of the music for Abderrahmane Sissako's film Timbuktu, which swept up numerous awards in 2014 and 2015. After winning two awards at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, he was the big winner at the 40th Césars ceremony in February 2015. Amine Bouhafa took the prize for best film score, while the song "Timbuktu Fasso ", sung by Fatoumata Diawara, was one of the best-selling titles of the period.
