Jose Latour
Jose Latour is the product of several diverse cultures. A native of Cuba who moved to the United States at the age of four, Latour sings in both English and Spanish and lists his influences as Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Paul Simon, and Elton John. A highly successful immigration lawyer, Latour has served as a consular officer for the United States in Mexico and Africa. During the 1990s, an increasing amount of his attention has been devoted to his music career. Releasing the bilingual album Ocean O in 1997, he followed with an all English-language album, Tales of the Caribbean Cowboys, two years later.
