Jeck (Shaalkeen styles)

In 2023, Jean-Luc Monteagudo became known to the general public under the stage name of Jeck when he took part in the TV singing competition The Voice . The singer and musician, born in Paris in June 1992 and based in Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes, was inspired by his early elimination to record his first single, "Défaite", which racked up hundreds of thousands of views on online video platforms. The track establishes his musical style, somewhere between chanson and folk-pop, and launches his artistic career, relegating his former life as a digital marketing professor to the dustbin of oblivion. He follows this up with the single "parapluie", produced by Erick Ness. Released in September 2023, it reaches number 21 in the French charts in November and is certified gold. Jeck followed this up with "Sans toi", a romantic acoustic ballad, in 2024, while preparing his first studio album.
