Bertrand Cantat
Founding singer and leader of the iconic French rock band Noir Désir, Bertrand Cantat (born in Pau on March 5, 1964) saw his career brought to a halt by the manslaughter of Marie Trintignant, which sent him to prison in 2003. Released in 2007 after a remission of sentence, he joined the Choeurs project (2011) and formed the duo Détroit with bassist Pascal Humbert (ex-16 Horsepower), who recorded the album Horizons (2013), followed by the live recording La Cigale (2014). In 2017, Bertrand Cantat returned under his own name for the album Amor Fati, which did not fail to arouse controversy.
