B.B. Jacques
A French rapper of Lebanese origin, B.B. Jacques grew up in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine) and became known as Blackbird Jacques. Following the release of five tracks in 2020 and a collaboration with Kooking, the following year he produced the trilogy La Nuit Sera Calme, consisting of three EPs representative of his realistic and poetic style, later collected in a homonymous album. A fan of series, the rapper continued in 2022 with the diptych Poésie d'une Pulsion, from which the track "Odyssée" is taken. The same year, the Nouvelle école show, a competition broadcast on a major video platform, revealed him to a wide audience and made a lasting impression with his sense of improvisation. Following the release of a number of single tracks, including two in the SNEP sales and listening rankings, "Booska Fuck Off" (no. 173) and "Rainbow - A Colors Show" (no. 154), the album New Blues, Old Wine was released at the end of 2022, ranked no. 26 and featuring the singles "NDSM", "Intérieur scandinave " and "Zandvoort Palace", on which pianist Sofiane Pamart collaborated.
