Following after the 2022 EP Four° in Winter and a series of tours with Lewis Capaldi and Louis Tomlinson, What a Devastating Turn of Events is the debut album from British singer/songwriter Rachel Chinouriri. Preceded by the lead single "The Hills," her debut set is split between two thematic directions, with earlier tracks tackling lighter subject matter and the record's closing stages focusing on darker and more poignant ideas. The full album was released on Parlophone in May 2024.
